My LEALS Story
In December 2015, I taught abroad for the first time. I created Legal English for American Law Schools (LEALS) for a one-month course at Beijing Jiaotong University. Serving as a visiting exchange professor, the course changed my career. And my life!

What is LEALS?
I designed LEALS specifically for LL.B. students who wanted to eventually study in U.S. law school programs. The focus: LL.B. students in a civil law jurisdiction who spoke English as a second language and wanted to learn about U.S. law and U.S. legal education during their LL.B. studies.
My original thinking? How could I help provide a competitive edge to LL.B. students and a partner school abroad.

New: Private Enrollment LEALS
You no longer have to attend a law school I partner with to take LEALS! Beginning in Summer 2025, LEALS will have private enrollment options.
