It is a busy time in the United States. And I continue to get a lot of questions about current events & Trump 2.0. In an effort to help LEALSers stay current and help those interested in U.S. law and politics, I added a new project to the Beyond Non-JD Instagram page: The Daily Download!

Check the Stories each morning for a quick dive into a headline that caught my attention.

What’s in the News?

The idea was to connect current events to the news cycle. This is helping me as I update one course and prep a new course for the first time. But it is also a nice way to keep in touch with my former students who enjoyed learning about the U.S. legal and political systems. And if this helps Beyond Non-JD readers headed to the U.S. get a head start, I am also happy.

These are meant to be very simple and basic introductions to key headlines and to provide some context. If you’re headed to a U.S. law school, you’ll cover many of these topics in your Intro to U.S. Law (LL.M.) or Constitutional Law (J.D. or LL.M.) courses.
